Chrome briefly shows as black and white on iPhone 13

I noticed that when I open a page on Chrome, it initially loads in black and white and then changes to color. I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling the app but the problem persists. This is on a new iPhone 13. Does anyone know why this is happening and what I should do to fix it?

This page can help with providing some general steps for apps having issues, even if the title may not directly match your experience: If an app on your iPhone or iPad stops responding, closes unexpectedly, or won’t open


1. Close and reopen the app
Force the app to close. Then open the app to see if it works as expected.
 
2. Restart your device
Restart your iPhone or restart your iPad. Then open the app to see if it works as expected.
 
3. Check for updates
To see if updates are available for the app, open the App Store, tap your profile icon, then scroll down to see if updates are available. If updates aren't available for the app, update the software on your iPhone or iPad.
 
4. Delete the app, then redownload it
Delete the app. When you do this, you might lose data that was stored in the app. Then redownload the app. Then check to see if the problem with the app is fixed.
 


Be sure to also check and see if any accessibility options are enabled at Settings > Accessibility > Display & Text Size. If there are any on, try temporarily disabling them just to see if that has helped.


If nothing above helps, and the issue is only happening with that particular app, then you may wish to reach out to the developers of the Google Chrome app for guidance: How to contact an app developer
