Greetings Bcmacquy,

We understand that your Harmon Kardon Sounds Sticks are not being recognized by your Mac. The following steps may be able to help:

"On your Mac, choose Apple menu  > System Settings, then click Sound  in the sidebar. (You may need to scroll down.)

Click Output on the right, then make sure the external USB speakers are selected.

Press and hold Option, then choose Apple menu > System Information.

Click USB in the Hardware section of the sidebar, then make sure your speakers are listed. If they aren’t, try unplugging the speakers and then plugging them in again.

If your external speakers still aren’t working, check the instructions that came with your speakers."

More details here: If you can’t hear sound from your Mac speakers

We also suggest reviewing the following resources as well:

Change the sound output settings on Mac

If a USB device doesn’t work with Mac

Assuming you mean the Harman Kardon SoundSticks 4, the documentation does not mention USB audio, only AUX or Bluetooth, so we suggest using the Harman Kardon SoundSticks 4 via AUX or Bluetooth with your MacBook Pro and see if that works: https://www.harmankardon.com/on/demandware.static/-/Sites-masterCatalog_Harman/default/dwc9f78d86/pdfs/SA_HK%20SoundStick%204_Global_QSG_SOP_V8_online.pdf

We hope this helps.

Take care.
