Has anyone with a 2017 iMac (preferably with a Fusion drive) successfully upgraded to Ventura or Monterey?

Yes it will wipe all the data from your internal hard drive and fusion drive. And terminal command automatically repetitions the hard drive and fusion drive. All you have to do is install the new software . For a fresh install. Then set it up as a new device signed into your Apple ID and everything will upload from iCloud. As long as you have everything backed up in iCloud turned on

FWIW, I had no problems installing Monterey on a Late 2015 5K iMac with a Fusion drive. Assuming you re-fused the Fusion drive it should be able to install Monterey or Ventura.

You're welcome. Were the drives replaced with Apple drives? The Monterey & Ventura installers aren't fond of third-party drives.
