Universal control

So I have a MacBook Pro 2019, ipad air 4th gen and a M1 mac mini.

The M1 mac mini can only control either one device at a time and can not control two together.

The MacBook Pro can't detect ipad air and can't use universal control.

I tried all those handoff, firewall suggestions and it doesn't work.

I used to be able to use universal control on only macbook and iPad, but the OS update seems mess all up.

Hey there Es1022,

Thanks for reaching out to the Apple Support Communities.

Just to clarify, have you confirmed that all the devices meet the requirements, and have you had a chance to go through ll the steps in the following resource under the "If you need help" section: Universal Control: Use a single keyboard and mouse between Mac and iPad - Apple Support

If you need help
- When arranging your displays, if you don't see a display, try these solutions:
- If using macOS Ventura or later, click the add button (+) in the upper-right corner of the Displays settings window, the choose your iPad or other Mac from the menu.
- If using macOS Monterey, click the Add Display button the lower-left corner of the Displays settings window, then choose your iPad or other Mac from the menu.
- Make sure that each device meets the Universal Control system requirements and is using the latest software updates for Mac and software updates for iPad.
- Make sure that your devices are near each other—ideally within 1 meter (3 feet).
- Put your devices to sleep, then wake them up.
- Turn off Universal Control on each device, then restart each device and turn Universal Control back on.

If so, based on in the information you've provided, and the steps you've gone through, we'd recommend reaching out to Apple Support directly from this link here: Get Support - Apple

They would be the best option to take a closer look into the issue from there.

Take care.
