i have the newest Apple TV 4K. I have a Panasonic TV. When I put the Apple TV to sleep, it will turn off the TV. However when I press the power button on the remote to watch TV, it will NOT turn on the tv.
i did the Down volume/ menu procedure. Seems to select the tv ok. But it still will not turn on the TV

Thanks for reaching out to the Apple Support Communities. Just to confirm, do you have "Turn On Your TV with Your Remote" enabled in the the Settings app on the Apple TV?

Use the Siri Remote to turn your TV on or off
1. Open Settingson Apple TV.
2. Go to Remotes and Devices and turn on Turn On Your TV with Your Remote.
