Dual sim phone and voicemail messages

I have a dual sim in my iPhone11 and set up two voicemail greetings for the separate numbers. When someone calls my personal or business line and they leave a voicemail message, do those messages go into one repository voicemail? So if I am getting notification that I have a voicemail message waiting (red dot beside the phone icon) I just check voicemail and should get the message regardless of which number they called, correct? Or am I supposed to be able to check two separate voicemail boxes? Because if that is the case, I cannot figure out how to check the business voicemail box. When I select "voicemail" it just takes me to the primary voicemail box. Thanks.

I figured out how to access the TWO separate voicemail boxes with the help of another answer that was kind of similar. After you have set up voicemail for your two separate phone numbers (mine are a business and a personal line), you access them by going to your phone (click on phone icon), choose "keypad", then at the top of the screen there are the options to choose your Primary (or whatever you have named the first line) or Business (whatever you have named as your second line) line. Choose the line you wish to check the voicemail box for. Then touch the "1" key and hold it down until the voicemail comes on. It will show you which line you are using for your voicemail access. Voicemail will default to the line you have chosen as your primary or default phone number unless you select your second line. Tip: use a different access code for your two voicemail boxes otherwise you may get confused as to which line you are accessing. Just remember to look at the little box at the top of the screen. If you are accessing the primary/default voicemail you can just go directly to the voicemail option when you click on your phone icon.

Hello there Tiltedtoes,

We researched your question, and were able to find a link that may have useful details about your question: Using Dual SIM with an eSIM We see that it does state your iPhone can use only one cellular data network at a time. Let's start ruling out some other possible causes, along with confirming more details about what you're asking:

  1. If you switch to your second SIM, then check your voicemail, does it then allow you to check the voicemail for that second SIM?
  2. Have you been able to check your second SIM voicemail in the past, and if yes, which steps did you take to check it?
  3. As it's always recommended to keep your devices up to date, and if you have a compatible iPhone model, the latest version is iOS 16.2. You can verify this within Settings > General > About. In case you needed it, this link shows how to first back up, then Update your iPhone or iPad.

Cheers!
