iPod Touch in 2023

The iPod touch will still work on 2023 very fine just like you can see apple stop to sells them : The music lives on - Apple (CA)

The iPod touch still have updates in 2023 ?

• Unfortunately the iPod touch 1,2,3,4 and 5 will not have updates in 2023 normally.

• The iPod touch 6 will maybe have an update like iOS 12.5.7 but maybe not.

• The iPod touch 7 will be compatible with iOS 15.7.3 that normally well be released.

• Also the iPod touch 7 will maybe have another update for iWork (page, number and keynote)

The iPod touch support iOS 16 ?

• Unfortunately no the last iPod touch (7 gen) not support iOS 16. He stops at iOS 15. The iPod touch 6 at iOS 12 an the 5 at iOS 9…

Do buy an iPod touch is a good idea ?

• I think buy an iPhone SE 3 is a better idea you will have a lot of more features.

The iPod still work ?

• The iPod touch 6 work for music or safari and install apps compatible with iOS 12 but it’s an 2015 apple device. If you need more features change to iPhone or iPad.

• The iPod touch 7 it’s an 2019 device he support almost all apps an he is more faster that iPod touch 6. He will also have others updates.

Do apple will release an iPod touch 8?

• Yes an no apple will maybe not release an iPod touch 8 like you can look here : The music lives on - Apple (CA) but apple will release others iPhone and an iPhone is an iPod like say Steve Jobs. All you can do in an iPod you can do it in an iPod so maybe if you want an iPod buy an iPhone.
