The file "iTunes Library.itl" cannot be read because it was created with a newer version of iTunes

Hello guys, when I had Windows 11. I had installed the latest version of iTunes. Now, for some reason, I had to install Windows 7 and unfortunately, library does not open. Is there a way to fix it? Thank you professionals

Windows 7 is not secure and is no longer supported by Apple for iTunes updates. iTunes libraries are forwards compatible, meaning a new version of iTunes can read an old library, but not vice versa. The last version that supports Windows 7 is nearly 2 years old. You might potentially have a backup copy of your .itl file in the Previous iTunes Libraries folder (inside the iTunes folder) that can be read by iTunes 12.10.11.2, but it is going to be out of date, missing all of your changes since that point in time.

You really should be running Windows 10 or 11 if your computer supports it.

See Empty/corrupt iTunes library after upgrade/crash - Apple Community for details of how to revert to an older copy of the database if you still want to go that way. Alternatively, if you have an iTunes (Music) Library.xml file that was generated when you were using Windows 11 you could import that into a new empty library, but that will reset Date Added information.
