Does the first temperature (that is dark) on the apple weather app represent the lowest temperature of the night before or after the day?

ie: If looking at the day of Saturday, does the dark/lower temperature represent friday/Saturday night or Saturday/Sunday night?

The first temperature indicates the lowest temperature from midnight to midnight of the day indicated.

The Apple Weather App on my 13 mini (iOS 16.5.1) shows temps for this weekend (Aug 25, 26, 27, 28, 2023) to be 5 degrees cooler than the WeatherChannel App. That is a significant difference. Why?? What to believe? I’m going to Sierra City, Ca for a weekend. Apple Weather app shows 5 degrees cooler for the next 10 days. What’s up with that?
