Overheating & Not Turning On iphone13

My iphone while simply charging with my macbook yesterday, overheated too much and went into deep sleep. It didnt turn on even after a long guided conversation with the support team. I have now given it for service, they said, i will loose the data, and will have to be reset or whatever. It is annoying to be an apple user, when such incidences occur. I do hope this will get sorted and not recur. Anyone has had same issues? Any solutions? Is it very serious issue?

I had exactly the same issue with my iphone 13 this past week. Put it on charge over night like i usually do, woke up in the morning and my phone was dead.. nothing i did would switch it on. Thankfully was still under warranty, sent it in. They got back to me after testing and said nothing was wrong with it, it just went into deep sleep mode. I got my phone back yesterday, everything is still on it, no data last. Good luck, hope you come right and you don't lose anything :)

Hello,

Start here:

If your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch gets too hot or too cold

When you take your phone in for service, they always recommend that the data be backed up first. However the data is not necessarily deleted. It just depends on what they have to do.

If the data is gone after service, you just restore from the most recent backup:

Locate backups of your iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch

Restore your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch from a backup

Good luck.
