Where are files from Preview saved using "File" "Save" option?

I opened a picture from a website in Mac Preview. I the selected "File" "Save" and it saved the file but I don't know where it saved it. Where does the Preview App save files to when using "File" "Save"?

iMac 27″ 5K, macOS 13.1

Possibly in the Preview folder in iCloud Drive, or wherever you last saved, or wherever the file was when opened.

How, exactly did you open a picture from a website? The only thing I can imagine is you downloaded it. So, it is likely in Downloads.
