I have tried to update my payment method for purchases from iTunes, but it fails even though my Visa Card is current and I have double checked the accuracy of details entered

Thanks again. I have an Android Phone and Windows PC and had difficulties following the instructions. As a last resort I decided to use a different Card and it was accepted, so all is well.
PS I am 84 years old so have some restrictions when it comes to modern technology!!!
Thanks Smilin-Brian but my card is accepted for all other on-line or in-store purchases so no problems there.
