SIM card and eSIM

Received a new phone and decided to transfer old SIM card to new phone; however, selected “transfer to eSIM”accidentally and now my SIM card is deactivated and I also deleted my eSIM in hopes of removing it. How can one get their number back and preferably without going to the Apple Store or my carrier?

I have already tried to transfer, and it would not allow me, tried resetting, tried airplane mode, and even checked to see if my SIM was activated which it said it was.
