My mom recently got a new iphone and when she tries to set up her apple id on it, it asks for my macbooks password. However, every time I enter it, it says that it is incorrect. I'm not really sure what the problem is, as I entered the password on my macbook and it worked.

To confirm, does the password on your MacBook Pro go to a user that is associated with the Apple ID that is being used on your mother's iPhone? We're asking because if the user on the MacBook Pro has a different Apple ID then hers, then the password for that wouldn't work.
