Widgets on iphone, restricted to where I can place them, not free form like on Android...

I guess you just can't put a widget wherever you like on my new iPhone as in drag and drop anywhere on screen, correct? I have a lock screen and want to put text in a certain place on photo so it does not block out face. So I assume I will have to just edit the photo wallpaper and add the text where I want, save photo and then use the altered photo. Is this correct?

The "Any Tex"t widget did not allow me to put their widgets any where on lock screen. It had a fixed place and size.

Thanks for confirmation or advice.

Sincerely

Peter

Thanks I hated my assumption being in the ballpark, along with a few other assumptions. But I was given this phone from a relative and my wife got one as well. So I have some Google Calendar issues as well. I posted these. Samsung phone gave me notifications even if I did not set a time notification (ie: No notification) before event. Just popped up on screen--this was good for Reminders or "Take out trash", "someones birthday, etc".... I just used the Events section-was easier. But on iPhone I think you get NO notification unless you set a notification x minutes before, even if 1 minute... Take care, Peter
