Hello Ellisl,
Thank you for using Apple Support Communities. Sounds like you need help removing a phone number that is linked to iMessages. If so, we’d like to share some helpful information with you and also point you in the right direction for additional help if needed. First, you’ll want to review the following resource and steps on how to remove your phone number in Messages: Add or remove your phone number in Messages or FaceTime - Apple Support
Remove your Phone number:
If you don't want calls or messages for your iPhone on your iPad, iPod touch, or Mac, you can remove your phone number. There are two ways to do this:
1.) On your iPhone, go to Settings > Messages > Send & Receive. Select your Apple ID at the bottom of the screen and tap Sign Out. Then go to Settings > FaceTime, select your Apple ID and tap Sign Out.
2.) If the phone number that you want to remove belongs to an iPhone that you can't access, change your Apple ID password. This removes all phone numbers from your iPad, iPod touch, and Mac. Calls or messages for the removed numbers won't appear on those devices anymore.
These steps should help you get your phone number removed. If you’re unable to successfully remove your phone number, we strongly recommend that you reach out to Apple Support for assistance. They might have to investigate this issue further with you and help in possibly removing your phone number. Just in case, you can use the following link to reach them: Contact Apple Support - Apple
