MacBook Webcam Grainy After Upgrading to Ventura

Hello,

After upgrading my 2018 MacBook Pro with 4 USB-C Ports to MacOS Ventura (13.1), my webcam seems to be really grainy. Does anyone know if this is a known software bug in Ventura or is there something I can do to fix this?

Logitech C930e external webcam not working on MacMini with OS Ventura 13.5 It has been a frustrating experience that the Logitech C930e webcam that I have been using for a few years suddenly do not work for my Mac Mini. I have ensured that both the OS and individual app are updated to the latest version. I have also made sure in Privacy and Security, access to camera is given to the apps that need to use the external webcam. What else could it be? Appreciate any help in here.

MacBook Pro Webcam is Glitching/Flickering like CRAZY. As you can see above, this is what my webcam "FaceTime HD Camera" looks like whenever I open it, whether it is on Zoom, OBS, Photo Booth. It just starts glitching/flickering like crazy and I don't know how to fix it. I don't believe I have damaged my MacBook in any way really, but I really need my camera for Zoom meetings and etc. I just updated my software to see if it would solve it, but that does not seem to be the case. Some help and guidance would be appreciated!

Try and restart your MacBook to see if this problem persists

Hi WheelieNick,

I restarted and that didn't resolve the issue. I know it gets grainy in low light conditions, but even if I have good lighting, the picture doesn't seem to appear as clear as before.
