iPhone Messages isn’t giving notices

Y’all y’all, we need to fix this problem about the Messages app and it’s notifications- Cuz guy, I’ve just updated my phone to the latest version, I’ve checked my Messages settings and it has notifications on, I’m not on Do Not Disturb or any other focuses, so I don’t know what to do now- I have the iPhone 13 Pro Max by the way if that matters—

What about the Silence switch on the side of your phone, has it been switched by chance?

More than likely not if there are other notification sounds coming from your phone, but I wanted to check it 🤔

Is the problem with only one (or a few) different message threads? Has the thread been muted by chance? Lightly slide a particular thread to the left and you will see a bell. If the bell has a line through it, the thread hasn't been muted.

I had edited one of my other replies to add a part about a particular thread being muted. You might not have noticed that edit.

From within messages, place your finger on a thread (like the one your friend just sent you) and lightly slide it to the left. A couple of icons will appear, one of those is a bell.

Does the bell have a diagonal line through it? It needs to have that line, if not, the thread has been muted. You might check that.

Past that, and everything else we've talked about, your issue must be above my pay grade and I apologize about that.

We'll need to wait for one of the higher ranked users to chime in and take it from here.

I'll continue to watch this thread though so that I can learn more as well.

Interesting....

Not sure what the deal is with the banners not appearing but the "Sound" that you've selected might not be viable. Try changing it to a stock one (there are a lot of different ones to choose from).

There's no need to post the same screenshot shot again.

After changing your "Sounds", you might check in Settings, >Notifications to see what banner type is chosen in there.

Mine are currently set to "List"

I wonder if your issues are the same as these folks are having. There's a lot of reading in this one (3 pages). One person mentioned the banner disappears.

They are talking about turning off their Bluetooth as a work around. Most everybody is actively wearing their watches.
