Wired gaming headset compatibility with iPad Pro + what other gadgets are required

Hi all. I play a lot of Cod Mobile. And I’d like to be able to charge my iPad Pro and also use wired gaming headset with mic (not Bluetooth gaming headset to reduce latency). So it looks like i need a splitter. But looking at all the discussions many do not charge and pass sound to the headset at the same time. Does anyone have a successful setup that works. I’d like to know what works including where to buy them. I’m in the uk.

if it’s easier and latency can be reduced using Bluetooth gaming headset then I’m open to this option too.

please help, as I’m really scratching my head over this.

Stu412t, one option might be the magic keyboard and then the USB-C to 3.5mm Headphone Jack. I hesitate to suggest this option as the magic keyboard is rather expensive. I have one and I can charge the iPad via the USB C port on the magic keyboard and then use the USB-C port on the iPad for other things. In my case it is an external hard drive.

Another option would be the USB-C Digital AV Multiport Adapter. You would need to find a way to connect your wired gaming headset. Hopefully it is USB-A.

Hope this helps.

I didn’t consider a Smart Keyboard.

i looked at the av multiport. But I don’t actually have a gaming headset yet. I’m setting up from scratch. So I wouldnt buy a usb headset. I’d buy a 3.5mm trrs jacked one. My problem is I’ve read lots of forums saying that the adapters you can buy that will split to a trrs jack and a usb c. They don’t work on iPads. I was hoping someone on here has a set up already that I could copy. Maybe using a full usb c hub????? Thanks for your reply.
