macOS Ventura 13.2 Broke High Refresh Rate Monitors I have a 16" M1 Pro Macbook and a 4k 144hz external monitor (Aorus FI32U) connected directly via USB C. On Ventura 13.1, I was able to select 144hz refresh rate from the Display preferences, following these instructions. (Selecting the external monitor instead of the internal Macbook display.) This worked great: my monitor had a smooth refresh rate and excellent resolution. After updating to Ventura 13.2, I immediately noticed that high refresh rate had been turned off during the update. I went back to the Display preferences, and 144hz was no longer an option -- only 60hz. Since nothing changed other than the 13.2 update, the 13.2 update seems to be the culprit.

MacBook Air M1: External display only streams 1080p instead of 4K When no external display is connected, 4K movies play just fine on my MacBook Air M1 using the Apple TV app. However, when I connect an external (non-HDR) 4K display via USB-C, the TV app downgrades the 4K stream to just 1080p (which is pretty obvious on the 4K display). Is this an intended limitation or a potential issue with my setup?

macOS Ventura external monitor resolution issue Upgraded to Ventura macOS. I have a 4k external monitor (DELL U2718Q). But the display performance of the external monitor is much worse than the macOS Monterey in the default resolution. Also, it can't scale to 2k or 4k. It says low resolution. What's this? In the previous version of the macOS, the same external monitor can display 2k or 4k resolution normally.

Hello SGViola,

It sounds like you are trying to get Netflix to play in 4K on your computer with external monitor, right? Are you having difficulty playing 4K videos in the browser, including other sites such as YouTube?

Make sure that you meet the requirements listed on Netflix's page:
