eject key function?

Hi there,

So I have the Apple Keyboard (old wired one) and the Magic keyboard (wireless) connected to my iMac pro, touch screen MacBook pro, etc..

I know cmd+option+control and then eject has all sort of functions like restart, shut down...

However, is there any function for pressing the Eject key on its own?

I don't see any function but worry will there be any side-effect as I occasionally touched it by, wondering how Mac OS (monterey and so on) will see that eject keystroke, will it trigger/ change anything, will it damage my OS, if I see nothing happens does it really mean nothing happens?
