I have an iphone X, iOS 6.2 installed, and an iWatch 7. When I try to pair them, I get a warning that, "iPhone out of Date. This apple Watch requires a newer version of iOS". The iWatch has been reset.

Why am I getting this error? I can't upgrade to a newer iOS on the phone because it's current. I can't upgrade the iOS iWatch version, because I just reset it and it needs to be paired.
