2 iMacs same id

Would like to resell 2nd iMac. I believe, I sign out of iCloud, change the ID on the second and erase. Question, on iMac #1 would ID stay the same? Thanks.

I did not want everything on my MacBook to to automatically download on to the new iMac. This already happened before. Having 2 different Apple ID and trying to use the new feature to use an iPad with the iMac does not work with 2 different Apple ID . I want to change my new iMac from the new Apple ID to put my regular Apple ID and NOT copy the whole old laptop and have the screen overloaded with file.

change of apple ID on a computer I installed the new macbook of my wife with my apple id and iCloud service, now I want to change and create a new one for her, register it on her machine and keeping mine for mine , keeping the 2 accounts separate

Sign out of iCloud on the second iMac. Do not 'change' the ID.

and no, restoring a device with your appleID on it will not tamper with any other devices you may have with the same appleID on them
