What you're seeing is the fact the MagSafe Duo Charger is NOT fast charge capable for Apple Watch. So, there is NOTHING wrong.

Contained in this link about the Duo Charger, is the following statement:

  • MagSafe Duo Charger doesn't support fast charging with Apple Watch Series 7, Apple Watch Series 8, and Apple Watch Ultra. To fast charge your Apple Watch Series 7, Apple Watch Series 8, and Apple Watch Ultra, use the Apple USB-C Magnetic Fast Charging Cable.

Because Apple sells a convenience in the MagSafe Duo Charger, but as I pointed out BY APPLE, no less, they make it clear the Duo Charger is NOT capable of fast charging an Apple Watch and if you do want to fast charge your Apple Watch, you need to use the supplied cable, which came with your Apple Watch Ultra.

I'm not sure what part of this is hard to understand?

It is CLEARLY STATED, the MagSafe Duo Charger does NOT fast charge Apple Watch. So again, the time it took to charge your watch using the MagSafe Duo Charger is completely normal and inline with a charger NOT capable of fast charge.

I wasn't being rude in my comment. I provided the official words from Apple's very own product page about the MagSafe Duo Charger and you seemed to still not understand what Apple says about the charger they sell.

I'm not required to be professional here. I don't work for Apple. I'm a user just like you are a user and when you posted your question, I looked up the product information from Apple, to learn the MagSafe Duo Charger is not fast charge capable. You surely could have done this yourself to learn the charger is not fast charge capable.

Hopefully, you have the answer to your question and you now understand the difference between using the actual cable which came with your watch and the Duo Charger, which you unfortunately believed would provide the same charging rate.

Cheers and enjoy your Apple Watch Ultra. Which by the way does NOT need to be fast charged at all. It just needs to be charged.

So why is it when I go on the Apple Store app and select shop by your device, Apple Watch ultra, then select wireless chargers, first one on list is the MagSafe Duo Charger. If this is a misprint, then Apple should look into this. I am having a difficult time returning the MagSafe Duo Charger or exchanging for a compatible travel charger.

I am hoping that Apple support has an answer for this. I was in discussion with their tech support on December 4, 2022.

Maybe you should work for apple support, because they are telling me different. You mentioned that it is clearly stated. At first in the Apple Store under product information there is no mention of what you are saying, until you click on hyperlink ( this article) and after a long time reading holly there is the information you are talking about. Your average shopper does not read all of this. As for my self ( average shopper)I thought that the Apple Store would guide us in the right direction.

So telling me that “I'm not sure what part of this is hard to understand?” is kinda a non professional manner.

Enjoy the rest of you day
