Yahoo/sky email accounts not adding in Mail accounts

have always had all sky/yahoo email accounts as an added account to the iOS email accounts. For some weeks now they haven’t been working and I’ve had my husbands. I’ve tried every remedy under the Sun searched every form. I can write to Yahoo and sky but I wonder if they were blocking him, but nothing works. The image is one of messages i get and yet the password is correctly entered and it just wont accept it. On other occasions it attempts to install it, but then it returns to the choose the provider page I won’t let me do anything else.


I am of the impression that either Apple or sky/yahoo are blocking these accounts to be added as an added account iPhone settings as i still have my google email account working ok as an additional box in iPhone settings etc. they all work ok on my old ipad.


both my husband and my iPhone have been really slow in working, specially sending and receiving emails, and sometimes my phone is really lagging as well.


Could it be our Internet because I’m also having problems losing my laptop and I work from home as the connection just freezes constantly and

I’ve tried all the remedies to check that and this is when I’m in an email account online or even when I’m trying to design something in it in canva that sort of thing. I have reset the router and I’ve also switched off the skybox just in case that was doing something. My husband doesn’t have a problem at all with his phone.


Can can someone please advise what the issue might be and resolve it for me please with a solution to get these back on my iPhone because they where are my iPhone and they stopped working, thanks.

Hello Jagsus222,


Apple won't block your account from working. They only submit the provided information (username and password) and either get acceptance from the email provider or a rejection. You might try resetting your email account passwords and seeing if that helps. A failing internet connection can absolutely cause these types of connection failures as well.

I'm still having intermittent problems, but when I saw the "No password provided" message, I tried using "Yahoo email" rather than "Other" and it worked, well at least for a while.

This approach results in the installation requesting account login via a web browser pane. I suspect that it does something like negotiating a random password rather than using the one you provide on the web page.
