Sim-free and factory unlocked iPhones

Dear, Apple Support Community, I ordered new iPhone 14 pro from online Apple Store. Is it sim-free and factory unlocked? Can I use it in other countries? And change Japanese carrier to other country's carriers? Thank you!

There short answer is: Yes

If your iPhone is SIM-Unlocked, you should be able to use it with all SIM cards and all Carriers.

Unless a specific Carrier states otherwise. Depending on which country you bought your iPhone 14 Pro in, you should be aware that US iPhones only support eSIM (They do not have a physical SIM card tray)

So the Carrier you choose must of course offer eSIM.

Congratulations on your new iPhone 14 Pro.

You're welcome.

eSIM or not, if the device is SIM-Unlocked then it should be usable with any Carrier unless the specific Carrier says otherwise.
