Two kinds of tinnitus after using Airpods Pro gen 2 for a month

After a month of using Airpods Pro gen 2 I've begun to have chronically two kinds of tinnitus, an occasional ringing, and a constant high-pitched hiss. I had no such problem during 2 years of using gen 1. I wonder if it's related to what I immediately noticed upon using gen 2, which is that although the noise cancellation is more effective, there's also a louder baseline hiss. It's as though the ANC algorithm is more aggressive but not necessarily more sophisticated.
