Clearing cache affected Amazon profile

I cleared my cache on my phone and now my Amazon profile is cleared of my orders, wishlist, and browsing history. I consulted the Amazon reps but they couldn’t help me. I later realized the issue started after I cleared my cache.

To my knowledge, your orders/wishlists should be on stored on Amazon servers, so I can't imagine how and why clearing Safary history and cookies could have deleted/modified your data on Amazon servers.


On my PC I use FireFox to visit Amazon website (and I use to clear Firefox history+cookies very often but I never encountered any issue related to my Amazon profile or data).

On my iPhone I use Amazon APP directly, without any issues.

So I do not see anything related to your iPhone.


I would insist contacting Amazon tech assistance (trying to speak/write to a chief technician).

I cleared Safari history and data. (To possibly increase storage). I tried going to a desktop computer and logged on thru Mozilla and Edge. Same result on Amazon. However, the some of the tech support people at Amazon could see my orders (1/4 people I communicated with). So I knew it was there somewhere. I opened Chrome and happened to have had an open Amazon window and it seems my recent orders are there. I’m afraid to use that window too much until I actually receive my pending orders. Altho I can use Chrome to browse Amazon it’s not ideal. And some of the tech reps could not see my history,etc. I was told I have two accounts by one rep, and that I had deleted my account by another rep. I know I didn’t delete my account. Nor did I clear my Amazon cache (which is primarily for music,etc). So I don’t know if this will be an issue down the road. Thank you - I hope my reply is clear.
