Time Machine Backups Delete

I moved some of the old Backups to Trash. I want to delete them but it says it's deleting photos. I understand now, I don't need to do this to free up space in Time Machine backup folders. How do I get the Backups out of Trash? It seems that I am unable to move them back too.

If I delete them, should I still be OK with all the files.

You don't want to delete or move any files or folders from TM in the Finder, only within TM.

If they won't drag out of the Trash & back to where they were on the TM volume then I think we've lost those & other files.

Are there Photos in the TM volume that are not on your Mac?
