Music Visualizer - Syncing the beat between audio and video devices.

Does anyone know how to sync Music's Visualizer's beat with the beat of the music output through an external sound device when that device is not connected directly to a Mac (M1 Mini)? Sound output is a sound bar (Polk) connected via optical output of tv. I have noticed that when I listen to music that is playing through my attached video display (via HDMI, LG Smart TV) and have Music's Visualizer turned on, the sound and the visual effects seem to be slightly out of sync. I don't have this issue when the sound output is directly from the attached video display. It would be brilliant to see an update to an old favorite that allows the user control over the timing of the beat either visually on the tv, or with the beat of the sound emanating from the sound bar that is attached to the tv. I never had this issue with my old iMac (2009) and the tv controls don't seem to address this issue.
