Notifications from a Non-existing App

In System Settings>Notifications>Application Notifications, I see an app, called "ask you," that appears to be scareware and does not correspond to any app I can find on the HDD.

Can you help me find the app on HDD in order to remove it from the system?

That is a script or action that is being run by another app you have installed. It may not be easy determining which app that is. The script may be embedded inside the app, so not visible anywhere obvious.

EtreCheck will show you what you have installed, but may not directly show you what is running that process.
