Since the credentials seem to be working some places and not others, we would suggest restarting the computer, and trying again. While simple, this can refresh the operating system, apps and connections.
If you have the same issue after restarting, can you clarify where you are having the problem? You say iCloud.com and iTunes are fine. Where exactly are you seeing the issue?

If you type the password in a blank note and then copy and paste it in the password field, are you able to sign in with your Apple ID password? I have reset the password four times. That is not the issue. I have deleted the adi folder four times. Suggested by one of the post. That also did not help. Here is a copy of the message I receive when trying to sign in. There are tons of posts on this issue but nothing I have tried has work up to this point.
Thank you so much for helping. I am able to sign in everywhere but iCloud. No issues with iCloud.com or iTunes.
