My Apple TV remove will not control the volume on my SunBrite TV (and also won't turn the TV on / off). All other Apple TV remotes work as designed with the other brand TV's in our house (Sony, Vizio). Does anyone know if this is a resolvable issue and if so, exactly how to make the remove work with the TV - particularly the volume?

Volume control to TVs is done using IR signals from the remote directly to the TV (not through the Apple TV box). By default the remote will use the most common signals for volume control. If this TV expects different signals for volume control, then you can learn it a new device. Try that.
Turning on|off (on|standby) is best supported through CEC. Verify that CEC is activated on both the Apple TV box and the TV.

CEC implementations may differ by TV brand and model. Not all TVs support all CEC functions, or any at all.

Tried and verified all of the above. Looking for specific help / guidance / directions for the specific TV brand in order to resolve this issue.
