Adjust keyboard brightness option missing after updating MacBook Pro 13" 2018 to MacOS 13.1 .

my keyboard backlight is on while staring up but after loging in it turns of. does anyone knows the fix ? al controls are also not working

Thank you for posting to the Apple Support Communities. 


This may be related to the settings that you have enabled. To check on this: 


  1. Click the Apple menu. 
  2. Click System Settings. 
  3. Click Keyboard. 
  4. Make sure that “Adjust keyboard brightness in low light”  is enabled. 


Be sure that the top area of the display (near the camera) isn’t covered up as this is also where the light sensor is located.


You can also manually adjust the keyboard backlight following this Apple Support article: Turn your Mac keyboard’s backlighting on or off
