Data Roaming and eSIM
I'm planning to travel abroad with the iPhone 14 and my current carrier has data roaming plans. Will I still need to get an eSIM even if I plan to use data roaming?

These options may vary by carrier, so you'll want to speak with them directly about what they offer. However, About cellular data roaming options for your iPhone and iPad has multiple options, and some would not require the use of eSIM.
"Shop roaming plans with your carrier
Before you go: To avoid fees and higher rates, contact your carrier by phone or online to shop international roaming plans.
After arrival: Open Settings. Tap Cellular, or Cellular Data, or Mobile Data. Then tap Cellular Data Options and turn on Data Roaming and other settings suggested by your carrier."
