BRIEF SUMMARY FOR THE RECORD

I changed (reset) my Chase bank account password a few days ago and ever since when I log off and try to log back in I get an error message saying that my user name and password combination do not match the systems, and I needed to reset my password. I did and was able to log in. But whenever I logged off and tried to log back in I would get the same message and have to reset my password.

I logged in Apple Settings to see what password had and it was an old password from several months ago.

So the next time I reset my password I also manually changed it in settings to match. Seems to be working. Not sure if this was a one time fluke or what happened Let me know if anyone has any questions.

And thank you and anyone else who helped!

We appreciate you clarifying this for us, loislou,

Do you have any updates available for your Chase app? If not, you may consider deleting and reinstalling the app as well. This article will guide you through the process of troubleshooting an app that isn't working as you'd expect: If an app on your iPhone or iPad stops responding, closes unexpectedly, or won’t open - Apple Support

"1. Close and reopen the app

Force the app to close. Then open the app to see if it works as expected.

2. Restart your device

Restart your iPhone or restart your iPad. Then open the app to see if it works as expected.

3. Check for updates

To see if updates are available for the app, open the App Store, tap your profile icon, then scroll down to see if updates are available. If updates aren't available for the app, update the software on your iPhone or iPad.

4. Delete the app, then redownload it

Delete the app. When you do this, you might lose data that was stored in the app. Then redownload the app. Then check to see if the problem with the app is fixed.

Kind regards.

Greetings loislou,

To clarify, are you using Safari to access your Chase account? If so, we'd like to provide you with a few steps to check your AutoFill settings:

"Set up AutoFill

You can save your personal information or credit card number on your iPhone to speed up filling in online forms and making purchases.

  1. Go to Settings  > Safari > AutoFill.
  2. Do any of the following:
    • Set up contact info: Turn on Use Contact Info, tap My Info, then choose your contact card. The contact information from that card is entered when you tap AutoFill on webpages in Safari.
    • Set up credit card info: Turn on Credit Cards, tap Saved Credit Cards, then tap Add Credit Card. Enter your credit card information into the fields provided or tap Use Camera to enter the information without typing.

You can also save the credit card information when you make an online purchase. See Make your passkeys and passwords available on all your devices with iPhone and iCloud Keychain."

More details here: Automatically fill in your information in Safari on iPhone

Let us know if this helps.

Take care.

I think I have everything ok there. I have auto fill on and it works on everything except Chase. Whenever I change my password in the Chase mobile app it does not update the Chase password in settings. So if I try to log back in it tries to use the password in settings which now is changed. The one thing I noticed was usually when u update a password it will ask “do you want to save the this password” and u say use. This question is not coming up in Chase.

Today I did turn off the option in settings to fill in passwords but no help.
