Night Shift manually enables itself

I have Night Shift set to a schedule which appears to work fine. But many days, I will notice that Night Shift is still turned on, outside of its scheduled hours. Visiting the Night Shift settings, I notice that Night Shift is manually enabled each time, which certainly wasn't done by me. Any hints to why this might be happening?

This screenshot is what I'll see when this happens - notice the actual hour and the schedule. I'm on iPhone 14 Pro and iOS 16.1.2

Howdy jansen5000,

It sounds like you are having issues with Night Shift not working correctly on your iPhone. We know how important having a working Night Shift feature is for you, and we will help get you to the right place to find a resolution.

Please update the device to the latest OS version 16.2. Then test it for 72 hours to see if the issue has been resolved. If after 72 hours and you're still having the issue please let us know. We'll be here for you.
