Phone App not clears notification

When we launch the Phone App to check the missed call notification appearing in red dot..., The seems not to clear that notification until send the app to background. This makes bad user experience since after launching the app and checking for the Missed Call if we directly close the app, it doesn't clear that red dot notification icon from Phone App icon.
