How to stop my iPhone screen from turning on when placed on a wireless charger?

My iPhone 14 Pro turns on every time I place it in its qi charnging stand on my nightstand.

I have the always-on display turned off.

Why does Apple think that simply putting something on a charger should awaken the screen?

This "feature" screws up my "I'm going to bed" lighting situation.

Is there a way to turn this off?

No. there is no way to ‘turn that off’.
