Occasionally I look at my phone and all the apps are flashing with the option of deleting some. That happened today and I somehow accidentally deleted Maps. How do I replace it? I went to the app store and I can open it, but not download it. Thanks.

I want to thank everyone who answered, but your problem was underestimating what a dummy I am. If you swipe left too many times you get to a page that has all the apps. Turns our thats the App library, and on that page I discovered my Maps app was not deleted from the phone, just from the home screen. Held my thumb on the Maps icon and I was given an option to add it to the home screen. Voila! Now I know!

You can download it again from the App Store, at least according to this Apple Support document: Delete built-in Apple apps from the Home Screen on your iOS 14 or later or iPadOS device or Apple Watch - Apple Support
Tricky, try restarting your phone. It's probably just a software issue, since everything should be stuck on the phone that's pre-installed. Hope this helps!
