iPhone: Leave lock screen and change home screen

Hello,

I have a good wallpaper on my lock screen which I lost the original photo so I cannot find it anymore.

So.. I don’t want to change the Lock Screen, but I got bored of the Home Screen and want to change the home screen only.

I am wondering if there is a way to change the home screen without changing the lock screen.

Hi there Nomadfriend,

To change the wallpaper for just the Home Screen on your iPhone, navigate to Settings > Wallpaper and then choose 'Customize' under the wallpaper you would like to change. This photo from Change the wallpaper on iPhone shows what it should look like:

The Wallpaper Settings screen, with buttons for customizing the current Home Screen and Lock Screen, and the Add New Wallpaper button for changing the wallpaper.

Based on the picture above, you would choose 'Customize' under the right wallpaper showing in this area to only change the Home Screen wallpaper.

Take care!

Hi, Ben_Z1

Thank you for your response, and the screenshots..

I have iPhone XS and the screen looks a little different...

First, my screen has the 'Customize' button inside the lock screen and the home screen.

Second, when I click the 'Customize' button and click 'Add New', it goes to the wallpaper selection screen, but the wallpapers have time and date on the top like a lock screen.. and when I choose one, it changes the lock screen..

I am wondering if it only happens to my phone or XS..
