Monterey Menu Bar missing and keyboard not working

My computer’s menu bar is missing and the keyboard does not work, it only makes the error drum noise. I have tried restarting it 3 times, and each time keyboard functioned when I logged in but once it loaded up it wouldn’t respond. I can also click on applications and they open, and I can use functions and command shortcuts, I just can’t type into google or such.

The menu bar may be hidden / only revealed when the cursor hovers over it.

To customise: "Choose when to hide and show the menu bar"

Re: keyboard does not work

You may want to use the onscreen keyboard / hopefully temporarily:

Use the Accessibility Keyboard on Mac – Apple Support

We do not know which Mac / model / year to help troubleshoot.

You could check the keyboard settings: (eg: something may be set to "off")

Change Keyboard preferences on Mac – Apple Support

All the best :-)
