Pin instead of password to unlock MacBook, possible?

Can I setup my Macbook with a pin instead of a password?

I'm used to Windows and before, I had a laptop where I could unlock it just typing the "password", which was a pin instead. Enter was not required, which was amazing and I got used to.

Is there a way to do the same on macOS? Pressing enter is driving me crazy when I enter my password to unlock it!

Thank you in advance for your assistance!

None that I am aware of but you can unlock a Mac using Touch ID or with an Apple Watch. No interaction at all.

Given Apple's systemwide approach to security it's more likely that Macs will incorporate iOS-style Face ID than anything less secure than those options.
