Safari passwords and keychain

After changing an email password I noticed differences in Safari passwords and keychain passwords for that account. Should I use only 1 of these? When creating a new account on a site or app I mostly see a pop up asking if this should be saved to keychain. If a new account is created on Safari shouldn't it be saved to both the keychain and Safari??

It will be. Passwords that you elect to save in Safari are stored in your User Account's Keychain.

If you were to open Keychain Access and find an outdated password that you no longer wish to appear as a selection, just delete that Keychain entry. Select it then Edit > Delete and confirm.

Don't delete an entire Keychain (obviously).
