It looks like you haven’t set up any home kit accessories

Overnight the Siri on my two home pod minis no longer recognize all the accessories. All worked when I went to bed last night but this morning the HomePods no longer control lights or any accessories. All is the same in the home app and Siri on my iPhone still works well.

I have added no new accessories and there have been no changes prior to this situation. It literally happened overnight.

I have tried rebooting my phone and unplugging my HomePods.

Has this happened to anyone else?

Reddit user BigPoppa1 has found a simple fix:

Rename a device via Home app in iPhone or iPad. It should force a refresh back to HomePod.

Same issue here. On iOS 16.2,all my HomePods had same issue this AM.

I finally reset all homepod minis and that fixed the issue. Thus far they have not rebelled.

Following advice I found on AppleToolBox via Google, I renamed one of my HomePods (I have several) in the Home App on my Mac, waited 10 minutes and it magically started working again.

Yep had exactly the same this morning. Tried Apple Support and they were spinning a line about having to update every single device, (apple and non apple) restart everything etc etc.

I found my AppleTV Settings was showing I needed to add my AppleTV to my home, which it was last night. Which I tried and it will not work.

However I have found that if I unplug my Apple TV then the HomePod takes over and everyone else in the house can control the Home but not me!

Looks like something has screwed my iCloud copy of my HomeKit config and now I am locked out

Does this match your experience in anyway?

My apple TV is still within my home app. All of my devices are showing in my home app, and the siri on my phone will activate them all. Just not the homepods. I am hoping for a miracle that fixes itself during the day. If they are still not working tonight I will try to reset the two homepod minis.

This is a big concern as my dad has limited mobility and really relies on the homepods in his house to turn on and off lights. Not impressed.
