Two iPhones belonging to ONE person that share an Apple ID share a call history. How do you turn it off?

I have two phones in MY name, one for work and one personal. I don't want to share call history between them. If there is a missed call, I can't tell which number was called and I don't want to call them back from the wrong phone as I don't want clients to have my personal number (or I'd just have one phone).

I don't want a separate ID because they are both MY phones with MY notes and MY reminders and MY calendar.

Is there not a fix for this? I found this being asked in forums going back 8 years. It seems that with all the useless updates you've come up with since then, you could solve this one that people have been asking about for nearly a decade.

That's definitely something to think about. I don't store anything locally at this time, so hopefully that won't become an issue.

I did just figure out that disabling iMessage and Facetime on one phone seems to have solved my problem. I can still access all my notes, reminders and calendar without sharing a call history and duplicating texts on the other phone.

The downside obviously being that I cannot use iMessage or Facetime on that phone, but I can still text and use Teams for video calls. It might not work for everybody, but this solves it for me.

Thanks again for you input!
