So-and-so "has notifications silenced" even though Focus is off - How to Fix

Had this issue with my wife's devices and it was driving me nuts: Even though she had Focus TURNED OFF, everyone still saw that she had notifications silenced in the Messages app. Well, I finally figured out a fix--and since this is an oft-lamented issue, I thought I'd post here in case it helps anyone else.

Here's what you do. On all iOS/iPadOS/MacOS devices for the person showing up as silenced, use these settings:

• Under Settings/Focus turn ON Share Across Devices.
• Under Settings/Focus/Focus Status turn ON Share Focus Status and Share From/Do Not Disturb.
• Under Settings/Privacy & Security/Focus turn ON Messages.

It was the last part under Privacy & Security that was most important. If that's not turned on for Messages, it doesn't matter what the Focus settings are--it'll still show up as silenced even when it's not.
