Lost AirPods but have last seen

I lost my AirPods while they had no battery. I can still see their last seen position. And I have mark them as lost.

My question is then, if someone finds them and charges them. Will their location change? So basically no one can use them without me knowing where they are?

Hey Ana_Maria_J_G,

We'd be happy to answer your question. That is correct though. If your AirPods come back online, then the last known location would update.

For more help finding lost AirPods and what you should expect when they come back online, also review these steps:

If your AirPods are offline
If your AirPods are out of range or need to charge, you might see their last known location, "No location found," or "Offline."
You can't play a sound to find them, but you might be able to get directions to the location where they were last connected. If they do come back online, you get a notification on the iPhone, iPad, iPod touch, or Mac that you use with them.
