i discovered that whenever i connect my iPhone using cisco AnyConnect VPN, it appears i do not have internet connectivity on my phone until i deactivate the session before my internet is restored. please i really need an urgent response to this

There may be a missing piece of the config within the DNS settings for Apple devices. Reach out to your IT department and tell them what you're experiencing.

Why are you connecting to a VPN? If you’re using a VPN to connect to a private network, such as your employer, they may prohibit connecting to the Internet as a security measure.
If you’re not using it to connect to a private network, dump the VPN. It serves no purpose when it comes to protecting your privacy or security.
Thank you very much for your response, am using it on a private network to work from home and currently there is no configuration that prohibit it from going to internet . The DNS is allowed with domain, also when connected to the same network using the VPN on android , I can still browse the internet , issue happens only when using and iPhone
