Yes, but you will still be responsible for satisfying the conditions under which the carrier sold you the phone.


So for example, if you purchased a carrier-locked phone from a carrier with the condition you pay $25/month for three years, you can trade that phone in to Apple but you will still be responsible for paying $25/month to your carrier for that phone for the balance of the three years.
